Our co-director is the principal optometrist at our Shipston on Stour Opticians

Our practice in Shipston on Stour was the fourth location to be added to the growing Walford & Round family, after we acquired it in 2000.

Our co-director Michael Round is one of the two main Shipston on Stour Opticians. He has worked with the company for over fifteen years, but also has a variety of experience overseas, including working in Australia as well as a little closer to home in Wales. Jason Cox also works as an Optician in Shipston on Stour, having been with the company for several years in Stratford upon Avon.

Michael and Jason are supported by a reception team of Allison, Mandy and Helen. They are always ready to answer any queries, book you an appointment or just offer a second opinion if you’re trying to choose new frames! Our practice is equipped with the latest optical technology, including a Fundus camera to photograph the back of your eyes. Combined with our comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens fittings, you can be sure that no aspect of your eye health will be missed.

If you struggle to travel to the practice, we can also visit you to carry out a full eye examination in your own home. Please ask one of our reception team about this, and they’ll be happy to give you more details.

For your convenience, free car parking is available for a maximum of two hours, just outside the practice in Sheep Street.
